Top Hat and Tails

March 2nd, 2011

It seems to be a trend that grooms are going for the french cuff shirt and cufflinks on their wedding day.  It does indeed, add an certain sense of occasion to the day and offers the boys one of the few opportunities to customise their outfits.  (I mean really how many different ways can you wear a dark suit???)  Problem is, when we were looking for cufflinks for Jason’s shirt for our wedding day the ones available were all either (shall I say) gimmicky or very, very expensive.  There just weren’t enough options on offer.  Recently during one of my etsy trawls (how I LOVE etsy – swoon) I found some cufflinks which comfortably straddle both manly and sweet.  They are made of wood and porcelain and can be customised with your initials.  They come in a range of sizes depending on how big a statement you want to make.  They are made by Paloma’s Nest (who you have probably heard of either here or because they make the most beautiful ring bearer bowls around) and now all we need to do – given that the boys are lifting their game what with these suits and cufflinks and what – is get the boys back in top hat and tails.  Are you with me? Or are you with me? (Just as long as we don’t have to go back to wearing corsets! Ye gads no!)
