Matt + Louise

June 16th, 2015

I’ll always be a city girl. Born and bred. Not many of us make the move to the country – it seems to be that the country life is in your blood and can’t be tried on. But even taking that into consideration, there is a little part of me that loves the idea of waking up in the country, mist rising over fields and hills, pulling on my gumboots to feed the animals for the day, baking bread in a wood fire stove and drinking a million cups of tea on the verandah watching the roos jump by. It seems idyllic and heartfelt and lovely. I guess that’s why country weddings appeal to me – they too are idyllic, heartfelt and lovely. And so with this in mind I give you Louise and Matt’s idyllic, heartfelt and lovely wedding in country Roma. It seemed like the whole town stopped to witness their nuptials, to take part in their wedding and to celebrate in good, old fashioned country style! That’s how those country folks do it – go hard or go home!

February 9th, 2015

Welcome 2015!  Nice to have you here.  I’m not sure about you guys but the old month of January just clear whizzed me by.  One minute I was celebrating the first day and the next I am in February.  It happens to me every year but I am still befuddled about why that is???  I won’t go into all of my new year’s resolutions because, frankly, I don’t want to bore you TO DEATH (Hello!!!  Lose weight, get fit, eat better, drink more water!!!!), but I will say this – I aim to blog more.  Like a whole lot more.  I started this blog a while ago and talked about so many other things besides weddings which I really liked doing, and I hope you really liked reading.  So I thought I might do that again.  We can get together a couple of times a week, with a cup of coffee in hand, and talk about life, love, nail polish colours, how embarrassing Johnny Depp has become, fashion, hairstyles, you name it!  I want you to tell me about what new trend you are keen on trying, what new recipe you love, and how that wedding planning is going.  Let’s huddle up ladies, kick our shoes off, and get chatting!  This of course does not really segue into today’s wedding except there is a whole lotta love, and a whole lotta style.  Kirsty and Adam were married late last year at the fabulous Yandina Station.  If anyone is in the beginning stages of planning their wedding and is still looking for a wonderful, unique country/beach style wedding you can go no further than Yandina Station.  Give Sally and Neil a call – they are the most wonderful people and will totally help you turn your wedding dreams into a reality!  Kirsty wore a stunning raw silk dress by Ian Stuart, and her shoes were from Irregular Choice.  The amazing flowers were from Willow Bud.  Her stunning bridesmaids dresses were from Monsoon.  Hair was by Mia at Evalyn Parsons and makeup by Gorgeous Makeup and Beauty.  All of the amazing elements and styling throughout the day was by Kirsty herself, with some help from her mum of course!  Such a beautiful, fun-filled wedding day surrounded by close family and friends.  they danced the night away to Greg Doney under the twinkling fairly lights provided by Splash Events.  Congratulations Kirsty and Adam and thank you for choosing us to come along for your big adventure!
