Steve + Erin (+ Bosco) – Real Wedding

October 14th, 2011

I know this isn’t going to win me friends (and may possibly cause some serious grief with my good friend Cath) but, I am a dog person.  There I said it!  I mean I don’t hate cats or anything and I pretty much like all pets in general, but I just really, really, really love dogs.  I love everything about them – from their nutty habits and their mega crazy ways.  I love the fact that they go mental when you get home (even if you have only been out for 10 minutes) and I love the way they wag their tails just because you say their name.  They are seriously the BEST.  They are loyal, friendly and always up for fun.  All you cat people out there (and feel free to to try and change my mind in the comments section) you just have to agree with me –  dogs really are pretty darn cute, non?  I am saying this because Steve and Erin are major dog people.  Almost more dog people than me – if that is possible.  If you look at their photos you will recognise their adorably cute pug, Bosco.   All dressed up and acting as ring bearer, don’t you think Bosco just looks so pleased with himself?  And why not?  Steve and Erin had such a wonderful wedding day – with their ceremony at the fabulous Roma Street Parkland and their reception at the oh-so-stylish Mirra.  Everything was just perfect.  And, you know, I think the photos are just amazing.  Jason hadn’t shot a wedding at Roma Street Parkland before and doesn’t it offer some awesome locations?  Of course, it does help if you are as gorgeous and photogenic as Steve and Erin.  Now – I don’t want to keep harping on but how many cats do you know would be able to pull off a bow tie and act as ring bearers?  I’m just sayin…

A Bosco doppleganger!!!  Because one Bosco is never enough!

I love a bold lip and nail – very fresh and stylish!

Thomas + Emily

September 19th, 2011

We had one of those crazy, impromptu dinners last night with a bunch of our rowdy friends.  You know the kind of dinners – the ones where it doesn’t matter what you are eating and everyone talks over the top of each other and raucous and spontaneous laughter abounds.  Although we were all having a great time it really was the boys that took it to a whole new level.  I don’t have brothers so this kind of merciless bagging and incessant chatter about nothing is kind of new to me.  Seriously, the full-on rubbish they talk about – whoa nelly!  It was overwhelming.  I can’t believe they think they can give us a hard time about the stuff we talk about – they are far, far worse!  Apparently it has been said that Thomas and his two brothers have a name for this type of talk – it’s called Booth Banter.  I reckon that sounds like an onomatopoeia – you can just imagine what is discussed in Booth Banter, can’t you?  And I am also told that Emily’s ability to handle and join in with this Booth Banter was the icing on the cake, so to say, that solidified Thomas and Emily’s love.  Well Emily – my hat’s off to you – because after last night and the crazy tomfoolery that was going on, you have won my utmost admiration and respect.  Word, sister!

The Booth boys with their Booth Banter!

I love Happy Socks!!

And bow ties!!!

And the deed is done.

Would that be Booth Banter again???

welcome
