Brisbane Wedding Photography – Tim + Tegun

April 11th, 2013

I currently have my annual cold.  Sore throat, hacking cough, runny nose – you know the drill.  Given that I only get one of these per year I really shouldn’t complain but I so thoroughly despise being sick that it takes all my energy not to complain ALL DAY LONG!  I’ve been sitting here trying to figure out how not to mention me being sick, yet, here I am complaining!  I will never take my health for granted EVER again.  Just please, please PLEASE make me better!  I’m sure you are all rolling your eyes, muttering under your breath how ‘it’s just a cold’ and how ‘when you were last sick you couldn’t even turn on a computer let alone form sentences’.  Hey, I get it!  I’m annoying, I know how SUPREMELY annoying I am when I’m sick.  I just can’t help it.  Perhaps it is my sickness – the need to complain and be annoying.  Food for thought.  Anyway, I’m pretty sure you are all here to look at Jason’s fabulous photographs and todays are super fabulous.  Tim and Tegun were married one fine, lovely day (in fact I think it was the FIRST fine weekend of 2013!) in February.  Tegun looked amazing in her feathered, frothy confection of a dress by Darb Bridal Couture and Tim looked equally handsome and dapper.  Married at Albert Street Uniting Church followed by a reception at Hillstone St Lucia it was glorious, gleeful, glamourous and just plain great.  Getting married is such a lovely and wondrous leap of faith.  For richer and for poorer, in sickness and in health, till death do us part.  This rich sentiment is never lost on me.  Congratulations Tim and Tegun – for now and forever, this new life shall be yours.

Tim and his groomsmen had a little manscaping session at Stelios Papas in the City.  I love the idea of a little man style pampering session – hopefully it will become a new ritual.  Nothing nicer than your man having clean and tidy fingernails for the wedding day.  It is the little things for me!

Sunshine Coast Wedding Photography – Andrew + Emily

April 5th, 2013

Andrew and Emily’s wedding was located at the beautiful Sunshine Coast.  That is a place so very dear to my heart.  It was where we spent our languid Christmas holidays when i was a child, it was where I married my lovely husband all those many years ago, and it is now where we own a tiny little flat with our own, very small, ocean glimpses.  It is incredibly dear to Andrew and Emily’s hearts too – Andrew, grew up here and is a keen surfer and knows these breaks like the back of his hand, while Emily’s family live on the water, close to the sea.  You could say it’s their home away from home.  I could say it’s just their home.  Although the weather wasn’t up to its usual sparkly self, this wedding was just so lovely and beautiful.  Calm, elegant, serene with enough love and well wishing to fill the ocean.  Congratulations Andrew and Emily.  Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

When you are a surfer, nothing will stop you from hitting the waves.  Andrew had a bracing, quick surf the morning of his wedding day.  Looks freezing to me!

welcome
