Brisbane Wedding Photography – Kell + Melissa

March 28th, 2011

Is there anyone out there who is single?  Raise your hand.  Are you interested in meeting someone?  If there is one thing I am always amazed about it is how people meet and fall in love.  Kell and Melissa met at a party years ago and due to a series of miscommunications and some poor transcription they never hooked up.  (Boys – little tip from me to you – make sure you get her phone number right!!! Double check it if you have to!)  I always believe that timing plays an important part in how people meet, so perhaps Melissa and Kell weren’t ready.  Maybe they had a few more things to do before they met again.  And meet again they did and suddenly, magically, it all happens…SIGH.  I guess the moral to my story (cause there has to be a moral doesn’t there!) is that you just never know how and where you will meet the person of your dreams…so…to be on the safe side…make sure you haven’t tucked your skirt into your pantyhose and check after eating that you have nothing scary between your teeth. (I’m giving you pearls guys, pearls I say.)

I wonder what story Melissa’s parents have about when they first met?

I love this photo – you know when you see the picture you’ve just got to take it!

Isn’t Customs House just beautiful?  It reeks of old world glamour.

Let’s get the party started!

Melissa changed during the night into this fabulous dress – perfect for getting down on the dance floor.  We have the photos (and boy are they good) but we promised not to show anyone…

Brisbane Wedding Photography – Craig + Penny

March 21st, 2011

Fly in the Face of Adversity! That should be on a tee shirt if you ask me!  And if it was, I would give one to Craig and one to Penny for embracing this crazy Autumn weather and going for it!  Their original plans for the day were to have a spot of lawn bowls (after the ceremony and before the reception) but with the way the rain came down they ended up participating in some armchair-athletics instead.  I’m sure their guests were equally happy to down a few coldies without have to work up a sweat!!  Win win if you ask me.  So many brides are worried about having a rainy wedding day.  Although I can understand the fear, actually they make for some great photos.  Every photographer will tell you that, with the rain, come mood, atmosphere and a darn good reason to get close under an umbrella.

A lot of brides ask us about celebrants and I have to say that Anne Campbell is one of the best – she loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into every ceremony.

The beautiful and charming Broadway Chapel!

The reception was held at Gusto da Gianni at Portside – their food is divine!

Huge shout out to fellow photographer, Matt Leasegang (Jason’s new second shooter and speed demon) for sweet talking the girls at York Hair Artistry for allowing us to shoot in their salon.  And a huge thanks to them as well!

welcome
