Kirsty + Ryan
There are few certainties in life. There is of course death and taxes, to name two, but I have a few more to add to the list. Such as the first time you wear a new pair of shoes it rains, you will always say something stupid when you are nervous and the groom always cry at the ceremony. It’s pretty much a given. The reason? Maybe because they haven’t really thought about it as much as us girls do so by the time they are standing at the alter, thinking to themselves, “I really doing this, I’m really getting married to this amazing, gorgeous wonderful girl” they start to, you know, freak out. They look around them at all their friends and family and feel so much emotion. Way too much emotion, that it just, um, overflows. Jason cried on our wedding day. I’m pretty sure he won’t be terribly happy for me to share that piece of information but hey, it’s true. He cried like a baby, people. I’m telling you, the grooms, they always do. And my theory is once they cry, you don’t. Let’s face it, one of you has to keep it together on the big day and it’s better that it be the one with a full face of makeup and mascara!!!! And so it was for Kirsty and Ryan. He cried, she glowed. Who said that men were the stronger sex???? But then again who said crying made you weak?!
Kirsty’s floating, flirty dress was by Brides of Brisbane and her bridesmaids shimmered in White Runway.
Ryan gave Kirsty a little somethin-somethin in the shape of diamond earrings on the day! She managed to hold back the tears…but only just!
These stunning bouquets are by those fabulous pollinators from Lillipollen.
Jo Twidale did Kirsty’s hair and makeup. It’s perfection! Fresh, romantic, natural, dewy – p-e-r-f-e-c-t-i-o-n!
Kirsty’s matron of honour, Fiona, did all the stationery items on the day – invitations, menus, fans – through her new company love tailor made. Now that’s a matron of honour!
Ceremony and reception were at Hillstone St Lucia. You really can’t ask for a better location for green, green and green!
