Cameron + Kelly

February 27th, 2012

It has become something of a rarity these days for people to make the time to let their loved ones know how they really feel about them.  What with the 24 hour work day, juggling demands of a family, telephone, mobile phones, twitter, facebook, the internet, exercise, housework, the list goes on and on – there just never seems enough hours in the day to sit and reflect upon how much the people in your life mean to you and for you to let them know.  As a guest at a wedding – and a family wedding no less – it really does give you that much-needed space to reflect and think about how much love you have in your life and how lucky you are to have it.  Cameron and Kelly’s wedding was a a lovely, simple affair.  Intimate – just we family and close friends.  It was so honest and loving and pure that it made me realise how lucky I am to have married into such a great family.  And I know Cameron is thinking the same thing.  Congratulations you guys – and remember to tell each other how you feel as often as you can…well, at least before that stupid phone rings again!

Mitchell + Brittany

October 20th, 2011

When a 12 year old Brittany saw her new neighbour Mitchell through the fence of her childhood home, she turned to her Dad and said “I am going to marry him one day” – and, with a little bit of perseverance, a touch of romantic-comedy-style jealousy and a whole lotta love, Brittany did just that!  Guys – I got to tell you – this wedding was AMAZING.  It was the epitome of glamour and sparkle.  Every where you looked on the day – there was a feast for your eyes!  The ceremony and reception were at the regal Palazzao Versace at the Gold Coast.  The bride and bridesmaids dresses (as well as many family members) were created by the amazing and overwhelmingly talented Richard De Chazel.  It was breathtaking – I am totally in awe by the amazing workmanship and details that went into every dress.  He is truly a fashion master and icon!   I could go on and on about all of the details of this wedding but I think you really just want me shush so you can look at the photos (I mean, I totally get that that is totally the reason you are here and you are just all humouring me by reading this!)  I also wanted to say a massive thank you to both Todd and Alyda McGaw for coming out with Jason on the day – with so much to capture and so many things happening it was seriously great to have you guys there keeping it real!  I also have to thank the always lovely Brittany and her main squeeze Mitchell for letting us shoot their fabulous wedding – this is only a very, very small sliver of the wonderful photos we took of you guys – enjoy!

The dress – my goodness – THE DRESS!!!!

Just look at this amazing neckpiece – all hand made – breathtaking!

One of the guests at Palazzo Versace whispered to Alyda, “Is the bride a princess?”

PS Thought you’d want to know that Brittany is a STUNTWOMAN!  Beautiful and the ability to throw herself head first into a moving car – awesome combination!

welcome
