Andrew + Tegan – Engagement Portrait

August 21st, 2013

This – right here – is my 300th post.  I can’t believe that I have come here to talk to you all 300 times.  Are you bored yet????  I hope not – I feel like we are just starting to get to know each other.  You know – like those first 299 posts were just small talk and now we can really get to the heart of the matter.  Share our souls?  Talk trash?  Open up and let each other know our most embarrassing outfit from primary school, or worst date faux pas?  I mean we have broken bread here 300 TIMES – that’s got to count for something, right?  So before we get down to the nitty gritty, you know to get us in the mood, I want to share this gorgeous engagement portrait with you.  Andrew and Tegan.  As we were setting the time up I said to Tegan “I don’t want to scare you but Jason is keen to try and abandoned building!” and her response was “Sounds exciting! We are definitely up for that!”  Our clients – what can I say – PURE GOLD!!!!  Andrew and Tegan had to literally scale walls to get into this location and I can tell you that I wouldn’t have done it!  No way!  So here it is, and I have to say, they are gorgeous and it was just the right location.  As for my 300th post – 300 thank you’s for all your support and here’s to 300 more.

Michael + Licia

July 1st, 2013

Hello everybody!  Have I got a wedding for you today!  The beautiful Licia and married the handsome Michael on a lovely, sunny day in May.  Nothing like this drizzly, cold, wet weather we have today, no sirree!  Look how that sun shines!!!  Blue skies!  I’ve forgotten what it looks like.  SIGH.  But I digress.  Michael and Licia’s wedding day was such a wonderful and warm affair, the ceremony at the gorgeous All Hallows’ Chapel (with that amazing view) followed by their reception at the stunning, classic Customs House.  I really do so love daytime weddings.  It gives you more time to spend with your family and friends and it makes the day seem longer somehow.  All too often, we hear couples complain that the day went by so fast, in a blur, and that they didn’t get a chance to catch their breath and enjoy it!  But when you have an early ceremony and reception the party just goes for twice as long.  Licia and Michael, thank you for choosing us and trusting us to capture such a beautiful day!

welcome
