Jason + Felicity Engagement Portrait

September 5th, 2011

It just keeps on coming, you know?  This wedding season is shaping up to be simply MASSIVE.  Crazy busy with lovely, lovely clients, way too much coffee and a strange, unyielding addiction to marshmallows. (White not pink – what the?)  Given our coffee machine is in the shop for repairs, we have been trawling the countryside for a good cup and recently found the Sourced Grocer to offer a pretty wonderful brew.  Built as a modern take on the forgotten neighbourhood grocery store, selling everything from muesli to honey to cheese to locally grown produce.  The Sourced Grocer is all about eating with the seasons, buying locally and supporting our great food producers.  They are located in Florence Street, Teneriffe so if you are around that way we can highly recommend it.  We like to so much that Jason shot Jason and Felicity’s engagement portrait there just last week.  As a concept, it is pretty spectacular.  As a coffee shop, it is one of the best around.  And as a location, we think it rocks.

Adam + Ally Engagement Portrait

August 25th, 2011

One of the downsides of my job is that I very, very rarely get to meet any of our couples.  Although I am the voice on the phone and the person who deals with our clients the most, most, if not all, of the times clients meet with Jason and I’m out or tucked away in the office cranking the machine that is Studio Sixty Photography!  (Also, and I’m coming clean here – I am usually sitting in the office in my stinking running gear not fit for any kind of human interaction – even Crinkle, our dog, moves away from me!)  Anyway, Ally and I have had many a conversation  – organising booking forms and meetings and engagement portraits and the like – but we have never actually met.  You know, face-to-face met.  It is really funny because when I see photos of our clients for the first time -I have this kind of deja vu but not kind of feeling.  It is like the voice and images all come together in my mind and I have that Oh, yeah moment when they become one.  For whatever reason I didn’t imagine that Ally wore glasses nor did I think Adam has green eyes – but now – it is like how could I have imagined them any differently from how they are in these photos.  Anyway – we hope you guys like them – I love them and I love that they do indeed look like you and not just my mind’s version of you!

welcome
