Toby + Eliza

October 3rd, 2011

Let me tell you, I love Saturday nights.  I know that I’m not alone in feeling this way – but the reason I love Saturday nights is not the usual reason that people love Saturday nights.  No dancing till dawn or crazy all night parties for me – no siree!  My love of Saturday nights comes from my love of weddings! I am usually cooking dinner when Jason gets in from the wedding he has been shooting all day and I literally pounce on his camera to check out all the photos from the day.  After emailing and talking to each of our brides over the course of a year or so, I just cannot wait to see all of the details of their day  – what they wore, what flowers they had, their hair, shoes, bridesmaids dresses, and how the groom scrubbed up, his outfit, tie, everything!  I love looking at them all and spend the rest of my night oohing and aahing at each and every photo!  Crazy but true.  Sometimes (and I am getting really personal here) I will even call Jason on his way home just to find out about what happened.  With Toby and Eliza, I was calling before Jason even got in the car, I just could not wait to see these photos.  Such a beautiful wedding of such a lovely, lovely couple.  We hope you enjoy their photos – and not to brag or anything but – I saw them first!

Bet that’s a raunchy read – bring on 1894!

This is Eliza holding her dad’s hand on the way to the church…so, so sweet!

The fabulous food at Moda Events Portside – so delicious!

Brisbane Wedding Photography – Kell + Melissa

March 28th, 2011

Is there anyone out there who is single?  Raise your hand.  Are you interested in meeting someone?  If there is one thing I am always amazed about it is how people meet and fall in love.  Kell and Melissa met at a party years ago and due to a series of miscommunications and some poor transcription they never hooked up.  (Boys – little tip from me to you – make sure you get her phone number right!!! Double check it if you have to!)  I always believe that timing plays an important part in how people meet, so perhaps Melissa and Kell weren’t ready.  Maybe they had a few more things to do before they met again.  And meet again they did and suddenly, magically, it all happens…SIGH.  I guess the moral to my story (cause there has to be a moral doesn’t there!) is that you just never know how and where you will meet the person of your dreams…so…to be on the safe side…make sure you haven’t tucked your skirt into your pantyhose and check after eating that you have nothing scary between your teeth. (I’m giving you pearls guys, pearls I say.)

I wonder what story Melissa’s parents have about when they first met?

I love this photo – you know when you see the picture you’ve just got to take it!

Isn’t Customs House just beautiful?  It reeks of old world glamour.

Let’s get the party started!

Melissa changed during the night into this fabulous dress – perfect for getting down on the dance floor.  We have the photos (and boy are they good) but we promised not to show anyone…

welcome
