Aaron + Stephanie Engagement Portrait

March 6th, 2012

I am sitting here writing this in my beautiful and clean office.  You cannot imagine how happy this makes me!  I have been working in squalor – SQUALOR, I tell you – for the last 5 years.  You have no idea.  So when a free Sunday presented itself (and how many of those do we get a year!) I grabbed it with both hands!  Much to Jason’s horror we headed off to Ikea and bought some new cupboard doors and then spent one of the most intense, stupefying, irritating, evil, make-you-want-to-scream or huddle-in-the-foetal-position days trying to install them.  It was one of those jobs where you start at one end and have to go through a burning ring of FIRE to actually complete it.  It was only once we started fitting the doors to our very lopsided house that we realised we would need to completely reorganise our storage to accommodate them.  Whoa nelly – what a task!  I really had to dig deep, but now, from the other side, the really good side, I am so overjoyed it makes me want to cry.   Everything has a place and is in its place.  I don’t know if you know this about me but I can actually hear clutter…it talks to me, LOUDLY, so this, this, is so totally wonderful I just can’t describe it.  SIGH.  I’m not really sure how I can tie this into Aaron and Stephanie’s engagement portrait – and perhaps on another day I would try – but today, words escape me.

Chris + Rebecca Engagement Portrait

March 2nd, 2012

What is it with this weather?  Autumn schmutumn!!  Will summer just please give it up already??  With this vile weather, I just want to be sitting in a pool somewhere, eating ice cream (Ben and Jerry’s anyone?), trying to catch any cool, afternoon breeze.  The only thing about this hot, hot, (did I say hot?) humid weather is the amazing storms and breathtaking sunsets.  The light, the LIGHT, is just simply amazing.  And it managed to fall right on Chris and Rebecca’s engagement portrait.  When I look at these beautiful pictures I can’t help but be a little less hot and a little less bothered.

welcome
