Good Things Come to Those Who Wait

August 17th, 2010

I had to post these – my passionfruits!!!  Grown on my very own vine in my backyard.  I know that they aren’t too hard to grow but for a city kid like me they seem like a miracle.  Good things do indeed come to those who wait!  Now I just need to decide between passionfruit curd or passionfruit sorbet.

With Music Brings Hope

May 31st, 2010

This past weekend has been filled with replacing our rotten floor boards and the Eurovision contest.  I think at the end of some of the most backbreaking, knee smashing work we have done on the house to date, we needed a dose of true hilarious and enjoyable crazy Euro-trash music.  Did anyone else watch it?  We laughed, gasped, danced and sang our way through 39 countries worth of music – we witnessed the wind machine (a bit overused if you ask me), glomesh hotpants (can never be overused if you ask me!) and apricot seeds (don’t ask me) as well as some really catchy and fun tunes.

Germany deserved to win if you ask me just because I have been humming the tune all day.  Jason’s favourite is below – they were robbed out of the finals but have made a special place in our hearts.

Go Lithuania!!!

welcome
