I have been stalking these Fiorentini + Baker Elios Boots in black for a good while now. Aren’t they totally fab? Every weekend I drag my dear, patient friend Cath to Zomp on James Street to visit them. I try to resist walking through the door but the pull of these boots is just too great. I grab them from the window and pat them lovingly. I try them on and then look at the outrageous price tag, almost cry out in pain and then promptly, leave the store. This has been going on for longer than I care to admit. I am officially a boot stalker. They are just perfect – great with pants and skirts (as I have tried them on with both) they are beautifully, exquisitely made and are simple enough to last season after season after season. Don’t get me wrong – I have tried on a lot of similar boots but nothing, nothing comes close. The way the toe turns up ever so slightly, the perfect size of the heel and they way they hit the right part of my leg (very, very important when you have chicken legs like I do!) They are perfect – perfect I tell you – except for the MASSIVE, gob smacking, ouch-ouch-ouch price tag. It actually pains me to leave the store without them – yet there I am – every weekend – like a moth to a flame. *SIGH*
