The Right Foundation

October 27th, 2010

They recently stopped making my foundation.  I have used this foundation for 10 years so you can imagine how hard it has been to find another one.  I tried Bobbi Brown, Clinique (twice), Laura Mercier and Stila with no joy.  They were all either the wrong shade or too much coverage or too greasy.  It has been an upsetting not to mention expensive exercise mainly because you really need to try the foundation on and use it for a while before you can really decide if it is right for you.  The search has been a long hard slog but I do believe I have FINALLY found my match.  (What is that saying – before you meet the handsome prince you have to kiss a lot of toads!)  The winning foundation is Korres Ginger and Vitamins Foundation.  Why didn’t you guys tell me about Korres????  This stuff ROCKS – I am thinking about buying shares in the company it is that good.  The colour is perfect and the coverage light but not pathetic and it is half the price of my other foundation.  I also bought their Lip Butter in Plum and it is gorgeous – enough colour and moist without being sticky.  (Would actually make a great Christmas present for your girlfriends/sisters/sisters-in-law). I also love the packaging (and you know how important that is to me) and it comes in a tube which makes it super easy to fit into my makeup bag.  Has anyone else used Korres before?  Are there any other products I should try?

PS. After two days of use and it is still rocking my world – I actually look good even – dare I say it – luminous today!  Dang – I am so happy I could cry!!!!

Brisbane Wedding Photography – Damien + Jacqueline

October 26th, 2010

I think we should bring back the waistcoat into our everyday lives don’t you?  Men just look so stylish in a waistcoat it makes me wonder why we gave it up.  I imagine they are a little hot and uncomfortable but really, us women are uncomfortable for most of the time so I can’t see why men just can’t put up with it for our sakes.  Dashing, debonnair, handsome – words that aren’t used a great deal anymore – come to mind as I look at these photos of Damien and Jacqui.  Old world glamour – Ginger and Fred, Lauren and Bogie, Damien and Jacqui…has a ring to it doesn’t it?

What about the top hat?  And the fob watch???

This old world glamour totally suits the old style location of Customs House.  A fitting venue for the start of their new life together!

welcome
