The Mad, Bad French

June 15th, 2010

With both of us shattered from back to back weddings, we took some time out last night and got our groove on to the sultry sounds of Nouvelle Vague.   If you don’t know about them they are this fab French band that do low-fi versions of some of the greatest songs of all time by some of the greatest bands of all time – Dead Kennedys, The Specials, Depeche Mode, Joy Division, New Order.  Here is a taster of their version of The Specials’ “Friday Night, Saturday Morning” with, of course, some beautiful pictures of Paris. SIGH.

We had an awesome night – but we are both a little bug eyed from that…and, um, coming home late and watching a couple of new episodes of Mad Men Season 3.

How much crazy style can you cram into one weekend.  Although as an ex-smoker sometimes Mad Men can really give me the shakes I can’t believe what they used to do – smoking in a LIFT – not even I have done that!!!

Brisbane Wedding Photography – Patrick + Rachel

June 7th, 2010

Beautiful bride – check.  Handsome groom – check. Family and well-wishers – check.  Dancing on the tables at the reception – check.  Seems like all the necessary components for a crazy wedding day are here and accounted for. Patrick and Rachel had a lovely glamourous wedding following by a rocking good time raucous party – what more do you want?  I say, nothing!

welcome
