Last night Jason and I attended the wedding of my good friends, Wilhelmina and Rob. Glorious day, beautiful ceremony, great food, fun and friendly crowd – all the elements to an awesome wedding. Not to mention a stunning bride and bridegroom! There will be more photos coming but we wanted to blog them as soon as possible before they head off to their honeymoon.

To cut a long and painful story short (involving a pair of chairs, Ebay and daylight savings) we have recently been refurbishing two lovely Wegner-esque chairs.
We sanded and oiled them ourselves (with some help from our great friend Cal) but needed a professional to do the weaving. Ron from And Woven Cane has done a beautiful job. I think they look amazing. Sorry we don’t have any before pictures – eager as we were to get them sorted the ‘photographer’ forgot to take any pictures!
However when Jason was dropping the chairs off to be restrung, he coaxed Ron into having his portrait taken. I think they are great shots – in the typical honest and natural style that Jason does so well.
I have always had such respect for great craftsmanship – particularly in this day of mass production – we salute and thank you Ron!
