Brisbane Wedding Photography – Ryan + Letisha

April 25th, 2010

A good while back I was bridesmaid for my good friend Natalie.  And when I say a good while back I mean she is currently expecting her second child in the next few months so that far back.  Anyway she was very excited about her wedding day – started planning it about a year out and we talked about it every chance we got right up til the night before at the rehearsal dinner.  Overkill?  Possibly yes but you know some people just love a wedding and her excitement was contagious which made the day all the more fun.  (The song “Teenage Dirtbag” will never be the same for me…)

Letisha is one of those brides!  She was so excited that she could hardly contain herself and was jumping (literally) for joy.  That’s got to make you feel pretty special to see your bride sprinting down the aisle to marry you, doesn’t it Ryan?

Although I try to meet everyone face to face sometimes I don’t (as most of the time I am locked away in the office working) and Ryan and Letisha were one of these couples but when I saw their photos…well I could just see the excitement and joy explode from the page.  And all I can say is that is one happy marriage!

The Beginning

April 23rd, 2010

It seems fortuitous that the day we start our new blog, Jason has been struck down with a nasty cold and I am all alone to man (or woman as the case may be) the fort.  The poor thing is coughing and spluttering all over the house and sounds like Tiny Tim on helium.

When we discussed doing this blog we felt that we wanted to be different from all the other photography blogs we see.  It seems like everyone is doing it and we wanted to stand out from the crowd.

One of the things our clients are always saying is that they want their photographer to be someone they like.  And from that we felt we could use this blog to let people get to know us and to talk about our lives – including photography and what we can do for you – but also show you a little of who we are, what is important to us and what we like.

That being said, I thought I would start at the beginning…well the beginning of our business in this location and the beginning of our clients visiting our home.  When we bought this place it was a homage to everything that is green and gold – not that there is anything wrong with supporting our Australian heritage but maybe not as a colour scheme for our house!  Looks pretty different now – a lot of elbow grease went into its transformation!

welcome
